FAQ: The Spa at 500

Central New York’s Premier Massage Therapy Practice Since 1997

Frequently Asked Questions

Swedish. Deep Tissue. Sports Massage. Pregnancy Massage. Trigger Point. Hot Stone. Chair Massage.

(We also offer aromatherapy and paraffin treatments). All of our sessions are customized to meet your needs, and often involve a number of different modalities.

All our therapists are New York State Licensed Massage Therapists. If you have a preference for a particular individual, feel free to let us know. If not, we will schedule you with our next available therapist.

We require 24-hours notice. When you schedule your session by phone, you will be asked for a card or a gift certificate number to secure the appointment. When you schedule online, you will be asked to prepay. If you don’t show, and we don’t receive 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the session.

Never! If you purchase a Gift Certificate, it is valid for all time. Gift purchases are non-refundable but they can be transferred.

Note: we donate hundreds of gifts to charities every year, which do carry an expiration date. So if you win one of those, be sure to check the date!

Only if you are comfortable. Your therapist will lead you to your room, show you the massage table, and then will step out after asking you to undress to your comfort level and settle in under the sheets. Many people prefer to be fully disrobed; others like to keep an undergarment on. The point is for you to relax, so do what is comfortable for you. You will be modestly covered by the sheets throughout the massage. We can help you relax and relieve your stress and pain fully robed, partially robed, or fully disrobed.

As much or as little as you request. All our therapists can go as deep as you need us to go. Just let him or her know before your session, and we will keep checking in during the session to make sure the treatment is meeting your needs.

We have 20 parking spots behind the Spa, and a ramp entrance.
